Saint Vincent

Motor Yacht Loon in Saint Vincent by Fort Duvernette or Rock Fort

Located in the Caribbean Sea, between Saint Lucia and Grenada, Saint Vincent is the largest island of St Vincent and the Grenadines. The terrain is largely undeveloped, composed of lush green forests and partially submerged volcanic mountains. This 18 by 11-mile island may look familiar to some, as back in 2002, Saint Vincent was one of the filming locations for Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl. The island’s highest peak, La Soufrière, is also its largest volcano. This volcano is active, with its last recorded activity back in 2020 and 2021.

The island remains unspoiled by tourists and offers wild landscapes and plenty of adventure. Outdoor enthusiasts will love to roam the island’s hiking trails, explore the bamboo forest, take in the views from the top of La Soufrière, or experience the trio of cascading waterfalls at Trinity Falls. Avid birdwatchers will delight in spotting the brilliantly colored St Vincent parrot, in the only place on earth where you can.

The capital city of Kingstown offers an old-world charm with its cobbled streets, colonial stone arches, and cathedrals. Visit the 19th-century former British Garrison of Fort Charlotte for a snapshot of island history and picture-perfect views of the island. Established in 1765, the Botanic Gardens will captivate you with its tropical plants and colorful fauna.

The Grenadines

The 32 islands include 23 small uninhabited islands and nine inhabited islands, including Bequia, Canouan, Carriacou, Mayreau, Mustique, and Union Island. Open up Loon’s impressive toybox for endless fun in the crystal clear waters, enjoy a luxury beach day on one of the many secret beaches, or take a quick tender ride to explore the rich and beautiful islands. The Grenadines have so much to offer water lovers and land-loafers alike.

Bequia

The island of Bequia is one of the Caribbean’s best-kept secrets.

This tiny island may only measure seven square miles, but it has a lot to offer. The island’s waters boast more than 30 dive sites for guests to take advantage of the onboard ScubaPro SCUBA and snorkeling equipment to explore pristine coral reefs, cave dives, wall dives, and even shipwrecks. Swim with over 225 varieties of fish, plus Hawksbill and Green Turtles, Sea Horses, Lobsters, Eagle Rays, and Frog Fish. On land, take the 90-minute trek to Ma Peggy’s Rock, the highest point on the island, and revel in the views of the rich green hills, Admiralty Bay, and the surrounding islands. Down at Admiralty Bay harbor, guests can explore the charming seafront and its bars, restaurants, art galleries, and craft shops.

Mustique

The private island of Mustique, with its rolling hills, lush vegetation, white sand beaches, and strict no paparazzi rule, offers peace and tranquillity. It’s no wonder Mustique has long been a favourite with royalty, celebrities, and those that like to keep a low profile.

Union Island

The southernmost port of St Vincent and the Grenadines lies on Union Island, where there is also a small airport. The glittering shores of Union Island are blessed with near-constant sea breezes that make for idyllic kitesurfing conditions. Kitebeach is the perfect spot for newbies to learn, seasoned pro’s to dust off their skills, or even to sit back and relax as you watch others play with the wind. On board M/Y Loon, we can cater to all abilities and have multiple Cabrinha Kite Surfing set ups. Chatham beach is a breathtaking anchoring spot where guests can dine under the canopy of awe-inspiring sunsets.

Tobago Cays

Known as the jewel in the Crown of the Southern Grenadines, the Tobago Cays are five uninhabited islands accessible only by boat and offer some of the best snorkelling and diving in the Caribbean. The dramatic horseshoe reef and sparkling sapphire water are home to an abundance of turtles, dolphins, flying fish, and even whales. There’s even a WW1 gunship wreak for SCUBA divers to investigate. Explore the captivating waters with Loon’s expert crew, who know all the secret spots and can offer lessons and guidance to both beginner and advanced divers and snorkelers with the yacht being a certified PADI Dive Centre. The isolated beach on the island of Petit Tabac is another filming location for the Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl and offers a beautiful spot for a private picnic with our luxury beach set up.
