For nearly eight years, Motor Yacht Loon has allied with the world’s premier superyacht inflatables manufacturer, FunAir. This long-standing partnership exemplifies how Yacht Loon and the brand benefit from collaborations. FunAir’s in-house engineering team designed and built new to market inflatables for Loon’s toy inventory back in 2016, including the now iconic Beach Club Sea Pool. This new style of netted sea pool featured extended deck areas for guests and owners to lounge on, while still being involved with water sports activities. Images put out on Loon’s Instagram quickly became viral. Fast forward to today and the FunAir Beach Club is a standard design for most superyacht sea pools, it remains one of FunAir’s most popular products, and one of the many reasons Loon stands out as the most sought-after charter yacht.

Our crew provides FunAir with invaluable firsthand insights into what charter guests are looking for onboard, and we work together to make set up and set down even easier for crew. The partnership has helped catapult both FunAir and Loon’s social media into stardom, and resulted in the supply of Yacht Slides, Beach Club Sea Pools, Yacht Golf, Beach Loungers and Deck Tent inflatables for all versions of Loon, including the current 221’ vessel, which boasts the best range of water sports toys globally.

From on top of the water fun to underneath, as a PADI-certified scuba center, Motor Yacht Loon naturally partnered with a supplier of the highest quality scuba diving equipment, SCUBAPRO. This partnership enables SCUBAPRO to execute unforgettable product launches, photoshoots, and marketing activations, resulting in great content. Onboard Loon charter guests can enjoy scuba diving experiences tailored for complete beginners through to advanced excursions thanks to our onboard instructors.

Using SCUBAPRO’s gear means guests of all skill levels become comfortable with it, generating potential sales leads by allowing them to experience the products firsthand. Another perk of this collaboration is having the SCUBAPRO logo on the crew uniform, helping increase brand exposure further. Captain Paul is an avid, advanced diving instructor who constantly scouts out the best diving spots for charter guests, from wrecks to reefs, and can do so with the reliance of his SCUBAPRO equipment.

Lift Foils

The water sports market has many brands competing for exposure and popularity, so Loon always strives to find the best and then confidently showcase them as number one. After product vetting, Lift Foils surfaced as our top partner in the crowded electric foil market. We now spotlight them as the go-to foiling product for superyachts.

This partnership has developed over the years, and Lift Foils regularly features on Loon’s social channels. They also receive lots of feedback from the yachting community to help continue brand improvement. Once Loon’s expert crew – wearing uniforms featuring Lift’s logo – trials the newest foiling products, they are featured across the channels to incorporate them into a launch strategy. A recent content collaboration featured Captain Paul walking through unboxing the new Lift Foils board, gaining over 65,000 views on YouTube.

Loon’s crew loves playing on the ocean in all ways. Another popular water sport onboard for both crew and guests is kitesurfing. With two of the crew being pro kitesurfers, Yacht Loon is dedicated to delivering world-class instruction with the best-in-market gear.

Another long-standing collaboration, we have always supported Cabrinha as the equipment is simply second to none. During charters onboard Motor Yacht Loon, many guests enjoy beginner or advanced kitesurfing lessons, so having this equipment onboard is a huge advantage. We often inspire guests to invest in their own Cabrinha gear after experiencing the high performance firsthand, giving information to guests whether it is their first, or hundredth time kitesurfing.

Like many of our partnerships, content creation, and social media collaborations are essential, and for Cabrinha, we create exciting videos to capture the quality of the brand; from enjoying caviar on the fly to jumping over the FunAir inflatables, the videos capture the essence of kitesurfing. Captain Paul says: “I love kitesurfing, and that’s why I only trust Cabrinha’s top-tier gear for myself and charter guests; they truly provide the best gear whether it’s helping guests start out or even expert crew learning new tricks.”

Looking The Part

Being one of the best charter yachts on the market, we need to have the best apparel onboard when looking the part. For the past two years, Motor Yacht Loon has been honoured to partner with Liquid Yacht Wear as our official uniform supplier. Captain Paul says: “The uniform we receive from Liquid Yacht Wear is of the highest quality, and not only is it functional, but it is also comfortable and stylish.”

The brand also has an extensive product line, ticking the boxes for what each member of the Motor Yacht Loon crew needs. We regularly feature them when and where we can across our social channels, racking up one million views on one of the Instagram videos. When Liquid Yacht Wear has new collections, the crew can try them out while creating further content collaborations. Beyond outfitting the crew and featuring their logo on the uniform, this partnership has expanded recently with the highly anticipated Loon merchandise line launching full of Loon Liquid Yacht Wear goodies.

Chasing Adventures

For yacht charter adventures, you need an excellent chase boat; Anvera is ours. The custom-built Mediterranean chase boat is the perfect solution for Mediterranean yacht charters. The Anvera 48 luxury limousine style is ideal for transporting our charter guests with its state-of-the-art cockpit, luxury cabin, and clever deck layout. The partnership with the Italian brand resulted in a fully customized chase boat that met our exact specifications.

This collaboration was showcased through a two-part YouTube series. The first video took viewers behind the scenes at the shipyard, providing an insightful look into the construction processes, and the second was a comprehensive walkthrough, introducing the finished boat upon delivery. While some partnerships are channel and video specific, Loon ensures that partnerships work for both parties. The after-sales support, maintenance assistance, and customer care provided by Anvera is excellent so expect to see more of them in future videos on all the Loon channels.

Off The Deck

Teeing Up Launches

Off the Deck is an innovative new brand who approached us more recently interested in launching their SeaDrive CX golf entertainment simulator. The

superyacht golf brand wanted to launch in collaboration with Loon with a photoshoot and crew demo day shared on social channels. In the first two hours of the demo day from a story shared on Loon’s Instagram, the company received an inquiry from the captain of another large superyacht. Within a week, the brand had gained 25 solid leads and heightened social media exposure for their new product.

Beyond lead generation, this demo day ensured the brand received invaluable feedback from Captain Paul and the crew and final testing in the real onboard scenario. The onboard photoshoot also enabled Off the Deck to create further marketing content to promote their system within the superyacht sector. “Working with the Loon crew was a game-changer for launching the SeaDrive CX; not only did we get some amazing leads, but we also gained priceless information directly from the crew that allowed us to perfect our product and key messaging,” says Alexander Hare, CEO of Off the Deck. Motor Yacht Loon is the first charter yacht to have the system onboard, complete with our B1E biodegradable and non-toxic golf balls. This partnership exemplifies our commitment to onboard cutting-edge toys while providing a launchpad for brands wanting to enter the industry.

TowPro

A Perfect Pairing

While some brands are easily captured with visually aesthetic toys, others, such as TowPro, are vital to superyacht operations. TowPro is an advanced tender monitoring system that offers a safer method of towing by easily tracking and monitoring the boat 24/7, giving captains greater flexibility, improved insurance terms, and it frees up an additional crew member who can be onboard versus following Loon on the tender.

Captain Paul immediately recognized the value for Motor Yacht Loon. The partnership with TowPro allowed the company to showcase its innovative system through video content in a real superyacht environment. We also include TowPro’s credentials in our YouTube videos. Beyond promotional support, Captain Paul is a big advocate for the system and consistently recommends it when asked for advice by other Captains. This has facilitated numerous leads with ongoing inquiries sent via Loon to TowPro.

Following our partnership, TowPro has increased brand credibility, recently being invited to speak on yacht toy insurance at a captain’s event hosted at the International Yacht Club in Antibes. This partnership highlights Loon’s commitment to partnering with quality brands that enhance the complete operation of a charter, not necessarily just the fun and glamorous assets. Nautique

Making Waves

Our collaboration with Nautique meant our wake surfing and water sports boat really levelled up. Fully customized and loaded with innovative features, there is a dedicated feature and walkthrough of the custom Nautique boat in a Loon YouTube episode and several viral Instagram posts have spun off from this.

This partnership highlights how Loon can amplify brands across multiple channels; a video on unloading the Nautique from the bow storage using the crane also went viral on TikTok via a third party account. This organic growth and constant resharing gives partner brands a step ahead regarding exposure. We understand the importance of custom builds and always ensure that collaborations are mutually beneficial, with Loon getting what it needs for guests and the brand gaining increased exposure and brand recognition. Whenever referencing toys such as this tender, Captain Paul and the crew always refer to it as the ‘Nautique’ by name; this subtle branding reinforcement highlights how we promote partners, ensuring the brand is always front and center, another organic way to increase brand impressions through content.

They provide our crew with complimentary polarised shades that look the part and protect us from ocean conditions. The crew are always repping these on social media posts.

Galley Connections

We also have several partnerships that started in the galley. One is with the Finnish company Hikian. We proudly adopted a beehive, teaming up with these biodynamic honey producers. It is the world’s best honey; our chefs serve it at breakfast and use it in their creations.

Quick Wins

The Anvera tender from Motor Yacht Loon covered by an extended warranty from Yanmar Marine

While we value our long-term partners across our social channels, we can offer brands and companies one-off opportunities when it comes to collaborative content marketing campaigns. We supported Yanmar Marine in the Netherlands when they offered us an extended warrantee for our Anvera Tender engines, including a shout-out from Loon and content that could be repurposed for marketing. They gained so much attention and sold multiple products off the back of the shout out that we have now agreed a longer partnership.

Loon also worked with Yotspot on a short-term, campaign partnership. One of the reels was a huge hit, generating immense reach and engagement. During this period, we also posted any crew vacancies on their job board and showcased the website on stories, generating around 15K views per story.
