DAY 1 – Welcome Onboard
The ideal embarkation point for any BVI superyacht charter is St Thomas in the USVI. While you get comfortable onboard, Yacht Loon will be anchored in Magens Bay before cruising onto the BVIs for the week to begin. The crew will ensure you have everything ready to set you up for the most memorable week. An evening of tropical cocktails and delicious food awaits you, dining alfresco coupled with tasty cuisine, friendly service and that balmy Caribbean breeze.
DAY 2 – Play in Loon’s Favourite Anchorages
Anchored in Norman Island is one of our Captain’s favourite spots; he ties Yacht Loon to the rocks to ensure the best guest experience. From here, the secluded anchorage means the crew can set up various watersports, including the enormous FunAir inflatable setup that has become one of the things Loon is known for in the superyacht world. With children on board, there is always fun to be found within Loon’s huge toy box; the water guns always provide endless entertainment for them and the crew! If the weather isn’t on your side, sometimes a refreshing downpour is welcomed on a sweaty hike – but if not, the crew are always on hand to switch up activities.
DAY 3 – Take Fun-filled Excursions
While the weather cannot be guaranteed each day, the crew will always have a whole host of exciting excursions on offer. Spending a day anchored near Buck Island can include a visit to spend time with some playful animals. You can visit the island’s ranch, home to zebras, miniature ponies and tortoises. After a session of feeding and petting the animals, there is an additional chance for some horse riding. From here and back onboard, Loon can head to Peter Island, where the guests can enjoy the X Craft, whether it be a gentle snorkelling safari or the more adrenaline-inducing tubing. To refuel after a fun day, the chefs prepare what each group needs. Head to the aft deck for a family-friendly pizza night, or opt for more romantic and formal fine dining; the choice is yours!
DAY 4 – Get a Dose of Nature
Next in the BVI island chain to visit is Guana Island. Spending the day here, you will have the opportunity for a fantastic hike with 360-panoramic views across the islands and the bays. Loon’s Captain can guide you while sharing his experienced insights into the islands and pointing out the best views. If hiking isn’t for you, the crew can set you up for the best beach day with all the amenities and fun from Loon’s toybox. Staying onboard, why not spend the day relaxing by Loon’s pool with a good book and cocktail by your side? Be sure to always keep your eye out for those resident BVI dolphins and turtles circling the yacht.
DAY 5 – Enjoy Calm Waters
Loon’s Captain always finds the best anchorages for the conditions; itineraries will be adapted to ensure guests have the most comfortable time. North Sound is one of our favourites – a natural hurricane hole with calm waters. This beautiful bay is also the perfect location for some kite surfing. After a day playing with the Cabrinha kites, head to the Bitter End Yacht Club for a refreshing sundowner. The crew onboard Yacht Loon always goes above and beyond to ensure guests have the best time – how about some evening entertainment, such as an intriguing onboard magic show?
DAY 6 – Swim in Hidden Caves
It would be a shame to be on a Caribbean charter without heading to the world-famous natural phenomenon of The Baths, located at the southern tip of Virgin Gorda. This world heritage area is excellent for swimming amongst the boulders. Spend the time here following the crew, searching out the hidden caves, rock pools and grottos. If you loved getting under the water, be sure to take advantage of the ScubaPro gear onboard for a dive searching out some of the BVIs best shipwrecks. The Caribbean is an ideal location to enjoy fresh fish, and you won’t be disappointed onboard Yacht Loon; local fishermen regularly visit the chefs to present their catches of the day. DAY 7 – Take Private Island Tours
Continuing the BVI cruising itinerary, you can head to the private Necker Island. Sir Richard Branson is regularly there to greet guests, and a private island tour can be arranged for guests to be driven around in convertible golf carts. You will spot a wide range of wildlife here, such as lemurs, giant tortoises, and native flamingos. After the tour, you can head back to Loon or extend the day out and visit the small island of Saba Rock.
DAY 8 – Enjoy Last-Minute Fun
For your last day, you can enjoy another great anchorage ready to splash around with last-minute watersports, a final beach set up, scuba dive, cave snorkelling or a combination of everything. Alongside the fun, getting in that last-minute relaxation and soaking up the Caribbean rays is perfect before enjoying the final meal onboard, and perhaps a surprise or two will be in-store from the dedicated Loon crew.
